Kat joined Contentsquare in 2021 as Chief Impact Officer, assuming a pioneering role as one of the first individuals in this position within a unicorn’s executive team. Previously, Kat served under the Macron administration for over three years as the Director of La French Tech, a government-led mission aimed at strengthening France’s startup ecosystem. During this period, significant initiatives were established, including the world’s most open tech visa, the French Tech Next40/120 program, and a €25 million meta-accelerator supporting underprivileged founders. Additionally, her team provided support to numerous startups during the early stages of the COVID-19 crisis. Kat is a co-founder of the open innovation agency Five by Five, later acquired by Cap Gemini. Her prior roles include Director of the Open Data Institute Paris, Techstars Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and Managing Director of Reporters Without Borders Canada. Currently, Kat is a Board Member of the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), offering advice to the European Commission’s €10 billion flagship program for developing and scaling Europe’s deeptech startup ecosystem.

Kathy holds the position of Vice Chair at Goldman Sachs Japan, where she serves as Co-Head of Macro Research in Asia and Chief Japan Equity Strategist. Additionally, she is a member of the Asia Pacific Management Committee and the Executive Committee of Goldman Sachs Japan Co., Ltd. Kathy plays a pivotal role in overseeing Launch With GS, the firm’s first for-profit investing initiative with a gender lens. Joining Goldman Sachs in 1994, Kathy swiftly rose through the ranks, attaining the titles of Managing Director in 1998 and Partner in 2000. Recognized for her exceptional contributions, she has been ranked No. 1 in Japan Equity Strategy by Institutional Investor on multiple occasions. The Wall Street Journal has identified her as one of the “10 Women to Watch in Asia,” particularly acknowledging her work on the “Womenomics” theme. In 2014, Bloomberg Markets magazine included her in their prestigious “50 Most Influential” list. Prior to her tenure at Goldman Sachs, Kathy served as the Chief Japan Strategist for Barclays de Zoete Wedd Securities for four years. She also spent two years at the Export-Import Bank of Japan’s Washington, DC office. Kathy holds the role of Policy Commentator for Japan’s Cabinet Office and actively contributes to various Japanese government committees aimed at promoting gender diversity. Kathy’s commitment to societal impact extends to her roles as a Board Member of the Asian University for Women (AUW) Support Foundation, Chair of the Board of Councilors (Japan) for the US-Japan Council, Director of the Fast Retailing Foundation, Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Member of The Nature Conservancy-Asia Pacific Council, and Member of Keizai Doyukai. She further contributes to the Advisory Council for the Japan Society Fund Against Breast Cancer.

Kristel Kruustuk, a passionate software testing and entrepreneur, founded Testlio to address challenges in software testing freelancing platforms. As the Founder and Board Director, she shares the Testlio story globally, including a keynote at the Nordic Business Forum in 2022. Beyond her entrepreneurial role, Kristel is a committed investor in companies led by female founders, advocating for increased diversity in the startup ecosystem. Despite the challenges, she remains determined to make a difference. As a mother of two, Kristel finds purpose in living harmoniously, balancing her time with hobbies like playing the piano and horse riding.

Lucy Chow assumed the role of General Partner at the WBAF Angel Investment Fund and holds positions as an investor with NextWave Impact Fund and The Founder Institute. Additionally, she is a Limited Partner with various funds globally. As an author, Lucy wrote “Changing the Game: Discover how Esports and Gaming are Redefining Business, Careers, Education, and the Future.” Since 2013, Lucy has served as the Director of the Women’s Angel Investor Network, contributing to the closure of $1M in early-stage equity funding for eight women-led companies in the MENA region. She has screened women-led startups globally and conducted due diligence. Lucy has recruited over 30 women angel investors from the Middle East. She is an Ambassador of Women in Games, an organization focusing on increasing women’s representation in the Games Industry. Lucy Chow has been actively involved in academic and entrepreneurial spheres, making impactful contributions to various domains.
