Before founding her own consultancy, she served in executive roles at SAIC, Verizon, and Booz Allen Hamilton where she grew business, increased financial returns, and led the adoption of tech-forward investments in AI, digital transformation, IoT, and 5G.

Ms. Gawel is active in professional and community organizations. She serves on the Board of the DC American Red Cross, Forbes Business Council, Georgetown University Alumni, 4 Girls 4 Change, and the National Presbyterian Church. She is a founding member of Punks & Pinstripes and CHIEF, organizations that empower diverse leaders. She graduated from Georgetown University and holds certifications from Yale and Duke Universities. She and her husband reside outside Washington, DC with their two children and two rescue dogs.
