Ana holds a Master’s Degree in Telecoms Engineering from Georgian Technical University. During her study at university, Ana has been awarded State and “Polytechnical intellect” stipends for distinction in studies.
She has experience in public, private, and international organizations in the telecoms sector. As she embarked on her engineering career, Ana was the first woman CTO in Georgia. She led technology, the largest fixed-line operator, as CTO, mobile operator as Deputy CTO, and later as Director of a public company.
Ana has public and private sector experience, as she has also advised telecoms regulator, government and public institutions on the Development of Rural Broadband infrastructure in Georgia and regionally, i.e., South Caucasus and Central Asia;Ana joined Azertelecom in 2018 as deputy CEO and has progressed to the position of CEO in 2020. Nevertheless, her two years tenure in the role of CEO 2022 has become a significant differentiator for the success as she led the company through post-covid transformation and geo-political crisis with major realignment and achievements.
Two months ago, Ana Nakashidze was included in Capacity Media’s prestigious “Power 100” list. This annual compilation recognizes the most influential people in the telecommunications industry, highlighting individuals who drive the global digital infrastructure spaces.
Earlier in 2023, She has been recognized in Capacity Media’s sixth annual “Women to Watch” power list celebrating 20 noteworthy women across the telecoms and tech sector.
