Kat joined Contentsquare in 2021 as Chief Impact Officer, assuming a pioneering role as one of the first individuals in this position within a unicorn’s executive team. Previously, Kat served under the Macron administration for over three years as the Director of La French Tech, a government-led mission aimed at strengthening France’s startup ecosystem. During this period, significant initiatives were established, including the world’s most open tech visa, the French Tech Next40/120 program, and a €25 million meta-accelerator supporting underprivileged founders. Additionally, her team provided support to numerous startups during the early stages of the COVID-19 crisis. Kat is a co-founder of the open innovation agency Five by Five, later acquired by Cap Gemini. Her prior roles include Director of the Open Data Institute Paris, Techstars Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and Managing Director of Reporters Without Borders Canada. Currently, Kat is a Board Member of the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), offering advice to the European Commission’s €10 billion flagship program for developing and scaling Europe’s deeptech startup ecosystem.
As part of Atomico’s Angel Programme, Kat contributes to empowering the next generation of European angel investors, with a focus on diversity and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations.
