At the Women in Tech Global Summit 2026 in Cape Town, the voice of the next generation took center stage in the global conversation about the future of technology, leadership, and innovation. Bringing together more than 700 delegates from over 60 countries, the summit underscored the importance of engaging young leaders in shaping the future of STEAM — particularly across rapidly growing regions such as Africa and Asia.
One of the most defining moments of this year’s program was the inaugural Women in Tech Youth Summit, organized by the Women in Tech South Africa team. The event united more than 500 girls from schools across South Africa, creating a powerful platform for conversations around technology, leadership, education, confidence, and future opportunities for girls in STEAM.
Within the main summit program, Women in Tech also launched the first-ever Youth Lab — a dedicated space centered on mindset, self-confidence, leadership, and the role of young voices in shaping the industry’s future. During the summit, filming took place for an upcoming documentary exploring youth within the global Women in Tech movement, featuring young leaders and future ambassadors from around the world. We look forward to its premiere.
The Youth program reached its culmination when Ayumi Moore Aoki invited the future Women in Tech Youth Ambassadors to the stage alongside Anna Ambrozevich. Young representatives from Senegal, South Africa, the US, Kenya, Uzbekistan, France, Ghana, and Romania joined together in a symbolic moment — embodying the future of the global movement.
Further updates on the Youth Ambassador program and the upcoming documentary will be shared soon.
